Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN)Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN) is a non-profit company, based in Pokhara, which aims to improve the lives of Nepali women and girls through adventure sports and tourism. It was founded by three Nepali sisters, Lucky, Dicky and Nicky Chhetri, who were pioneers in the promotion of female trekking guides in the Himalayas.

The Feminist Hiking Collective is a feminist non-profit organisation founded in 2020 and a transnational hub for feminist hikers based in Italy.

Their aim is to build collective feminist leadership and collective feminist power through hiking and mountaineering, and to contribute to transformative system change through feminist popular education and resource co-creation, to co-build a feminist world for the common good that is grounded in our belonging to nature.

It is founded by women who love the mountains and understand the value of walking together. They organize expeditions and Trekkings through emotional and logistical support that makes everything easier, expanding the possibilities of reaching a summit or accessing a natural place that they would never have imagined being able to do on their own.

Women who Hike Africa Ltd (WWHAFrica) brings together Women and Men, from all Walks of Life, Backgrounds, Geographies and Skill Levels. Founded in August 2017, aims to create a community that empowers, unites and inspires women to reach great heights through hiking, not just on the mountains but in everyday living and to inspire The Men Who Support the Women Who Hike to join this cause. There is just something about the act of hiking and being outdoors that opens the heart, inspires the mind, strengthens the body and lifts the soul. They provide a platform for you to share your experiences of Hiking and the feeling of empowerment you get when you conquer a mountain.

It is a group of women from Machame, Tanzania created by Ekeney Njau… Ekeney has got her degree to be a Mountain guide License in 2019 thanks to her work experience, knowledge, skills on ice climbing, customer care, natural resources at Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania. She lives in Moshi town with her sister and nephew. She is promoting and leading a female group of girls who work very hard in Kilimanjaro to progress professionally and also to help their own children and families through their jobs.

The Cholita Climbers of Bolivia are a group of Aymara and warmy women who summit different mountains while wearing their traditional dresses. The group of women are all part of a tight knit community who work and live in the mountains.

The family group "Topchu” was born in Kyrgyzstan and created women’s group in a village Barskoon. This is a family business created with the desire to preserve the cultural traditions in the work with natural silk and wool. The basis craft come for women’s of “Topchu” from grandmothers and mothers (from generation to generation). In this globalize life each country tries save own identification. Topchu women’s carry the honorable mission to preserve, transmit, share the traditional arts of felt, putting all their strength, skill and love.
